Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I want my entire class to be able to benefit from a single device at the same time. By using both the speakers and headphones, the children will be able to enrich their senses without any hassle.
Our school is located in a low socio-economic area.
One hundred percent of the students are Title 1 and qualify for the Free Federal Breakfast and Lunch program. Many of my students come from homes whose primary language is Spanish and do not speak English. Therefore, they need a lot of support in the English language. My kindergarten students are bright and enthusiastic. They love music and are very excited about learning.
My Project
With an ipod dock and set of headphones, the children will be able to listen to a wider variety of music with no interruptions that could cause a distraction among the students. They will listen to music that will support the language program while still having fun. They will be able to listen to books and even to their own recorded voices which will encourage reading.
With your support, the students will improve their language skills and enjoy music.
Not only will they be motivated to learn through music, but with the headphones, they will also be able to focus clearly without distractions from other activities surrounding them. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated by this class and future generations. Thank You!!!
