Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A projector for a lap top computer would allow all 22 of my third grade students to see learning projects downloaded from the internet. Math would be among the most helpful, with reading comprehension taking the lead. Many short lessons and exams could be given to help the student grasp the concepts needed to pass the state exams and to go on to the fourth grade. Students love the experience of participating in the lesson, and the projector will allow the entire class to be involved at a much more significant level than a simple lecture. It is exciting to watch them learn with enthusiasm and bright eyes of amazement. My school is limited in copying materials and the printed copy is far less exciting than the experience a child can have through modern technology. This is especially true of the low socio/economic children at my school where only three students have access to a computer at their home, and only one computer in the classroom for all 22 students. The donation of a projector for the PC in my classroom would raise the level of involvement and the learning experience of the entire class. This would result in more kids passing the TAKS. Your consideration is deeply appreciated.
