Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are all very passionate about learning. From my highest to my lowest, they all love coming to school and learning new things.
The district can't possibly provide every needed or wanted material to every teacher at every school, but our students still need some vital supplies to get the most out of their school experience.
I am a new teacher, so I will take (and greatly appreciate) any help I can get!
For most students, school time is the most stable time of the day. At home, students don't always have access to computers, art supplies, books, etc. Providing these simple things to my students will help them to get the most out of their school day. I want to be able to provide them with materials, instruction, and opportunities that they can't receive outside of the classroom.
My Project
I am requesting a small set of noise-canceling headphones. These headphones will help my students cancel out background noise and distractions while working independently.
My students need peace and quiet!
Several of my students want to work hard, but struggle when it is just too loud! These headphones will help them from getting distracted or bothered from unwanted noise!
A few months ago, I received DonorsChoose headphones for my entire class to use on our Chromebooks. Now we need noise-canceling ones! These will especially be beneficial for several of my students during MCAS testing. We can also use them during independent work, especially test-taking and writing!
