My Students

First graders are extremely curious, eager to discover the world around them. We work together in many ways to grow as learners and as friends. From morning meeting to our end of the day game, the children are focused on being respectful and responsible.

Students are often giggling in our classroom, while supporting one another with comments like, "Have clear thoughts, you can do it!" These six year olds know the importance of setting a goal and working toward it.

My Project

We are so excited!! Our classroom has recently received a set of brand new iPads, and we can't wait to use them. Keyboards are in place, and apps have been loaded. However, we do not have durable headphones. This means that we have to keep the volume REALLY low or we'll disturb our classmates working on other projects.

Thousands of free online books are waiting for our discovery, and we need headphones so that we can hear clearly!

The iPads will be integrated throughout our day, not just during Reading Workshop. We can also use them for handwriting practice and spelling activities. The opportunities for learning are endless!
