The kids I see every day are what make me get up in the morning. I look forward to seeing them each day and miss them on breaks. We are like a family and it is such a privilege to teach them. It makes me so happy to see their pride in their classroom when they give their families a tour. We have a small school in a rural town. This makes getting to know the families in our school much easier. The connections to families and community are what make this school and these students so great.
My Project
Reading may be a necessity in our everyday lives, but I want it to be more than that for my students. The goal in our classroom is to create and promote lifelong learners. If I can help my students love reading right now, they can grow into adults that love to read. There's a book out there for everyone. It only has to be found! My goal with this project is to find those special books that will make my students want to read more and more! I've chosen a variety of book series to expand our classroom library in the hopes that it will expand my students' minds.
