Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This past year, my students have needed to practice, practice, practice to get back into the rigors of the general education curriculum. As Special Education students that has has been a HUGE challenge. My students with disabilities feel beaten done... they feel so far behind that learning has been an emotional challenge as well as working through their learning disabilities, that they face everyday. My students will benefit from this IPad and pencil stylus when they can share their knowledge on the ipad with the less stressful stylus. As they write on the Ipad to share their learning with their classmates, they feel that they have not been forgotten or less important than their general education classmates.

My dream would be to have a class set of Ipads with each having a stylus to share but, I will work with Donors Chose one set at a time.

Students will use the Ipad and stylus to share their sentences, math reasoning, and writing ideas as one of the many ways that my students are assessed on their learning. Thank you in advance for caring about the Special Education community that I teach in. I continue to reach out for help as I find the key to helping our students learn.
