My Students
I work in a 3K class in Brooklyn NY. Yes, 3 year old children and a few of them won't be 3 till December. My students are the future!
This is the time to get them to love everything about school.
Providing them with a strong foundation in Math during these early years is important for later on in their education. Some of my students also need help with self help skills. The materials for dramatic play will help develop those skills.
My Project
These materials will make learning fun! The best part about all of this is that they will be learning while they play. I will ask the students questions related to the toys they are using and engage in back and forth conversations.
Not only will they be learning but will be increasing their vocabulary as well.
In math, children will have tons of hands on counting practice, they will also be learning to associate numbers with quantities. Once students become comfortable using the materials they will be able to use them independently and self correct when needed. In dramatic play I can relate it to how they dress themselves or help clean up at home.
