My students are just awesome! It is as simple as that - just awesome! They are the most curious and inquisitive group of children you would ever meet. They may be young, but don't let their age fool you into thinking they're not ready to use the tools they have and apply the new ones as soon as they learn them!
Despite the hardships many have already experienced, these little wonders are ready to learn and most importantly - to take care of each other!

My Project
My young students learn by observing us adults, through our conversations with them, through the books, and our actions. I teach my students to be kind to themselves as much as to be kind to each other. I teach them to be strong and use the word "no" if that is what they mean. In my classroom you must be kind, polite, and respectful. These books will empower my students to speak their mind while staying respectful. The books will reenforce what I've been teaching them - you do not have to agree with someone but you must be kind and respectful. Girls are smart, pink is a great color for everyone, we are all the same yet different.
