Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are super special because they have to be assessed to qualify to receive special education services. My students are identified with learning disabilities which affect their academic progress. They require different modalities to learn: visual, auditory and physical. I incorporate all into their learning. My goal is to first inspire and raise their confidence level in their abilities, then they are ready to learn.
Once my student confidence grows, then they are ready to soar and exceed everyone's expectation.
I know how smart they are and what they need to believe in their selves as well.
My Project
Hello, I would like to have this wobble chairs in my classroom to help all my students (most have ADD/ADHD) remain focused and engaged. I have in my classroom other forms of stress reduction, but learned about the wobble seat while visiting another Special Education classroom. I love how the student is engaged while expelling energies that hinder their learning. The stool enables the student to burn excess energy and build core muscles.
During small group instruction, each child will have their own stool thus learning will be taking place.
The wobble seat would be used to keep each child focused and engaged.
