Hygiene Supplies to Increase Attendance

Help me give my students hygiene products like lotion, Pinkie pads, and Paterr pad storage for our older girls, and Amazon Essentials socks for stocking up the nurse!

My Project

Our school is a transforming school. We have gone from an "underperforming school" to a Magnet school. We were just rebuilt by the county.

As we were trying to strategize on how to fix the attendance issues we have been facing since the pandemic, I realized that our older girls were missing more school due to their personal hygiene needs during their cycle.

I started asking why. Some said they were embarrassed to ask frequently to use the restroom. Last year bathrooms were an issue on our campus. Our buildings were very old and they broke a lot. Some said that they don't have the materials they need. Others said they do not like the standard issue pads distributed by the nurse.

So I am working to fix this culture on our campus. I want our nurse to be fully stocked with comfortable products that are designed for students their size.

I am also asking for socks. We were funded some shoes, but now the nurse is low on sock!
