This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We will be growing our own seeds, exploring germination, and creating an edible garden. My students live in a hot, arid climate. Gardening outdoors can be difficult. This hydroponics sets will allow us to grow fruits and vegetables in the classroom, giving my students the chance to grow their own healthy foods.

We will learn about germination, the plant life cycle, and other gardening lessons.

This will foster healthy nutrition habits in my students which will stay with them throughout their lives. They may even be tempted to try something new!
