My Students

My students are incredibly curious about the world around them. There are five different languages spoken as a variety of different cultures represented in the classroom. These differences make us create a wonderfully diverse learning environment.

As a community we strive to learn from our mistakes in order to make the world a better place.

These students remind me every day why I became a teacher. They have open hearts, and growing minds that are eager and ready to understand the world.

My Project

Most school hallways are lined with water fountains. In between classes students can be seen grabbing a quick drink or filling up their water bottle. Unfortunately this is not a reality in my school because we do not have potable water. Instead students are required to locate small Dixie cups and grab a drink from one of the two water coolers that are shared by over 200 students. As a result my students are not hydrating as much as they should. Furthermore students often ask to leave class to grab a drink because they did not get enough from one small pixie cup.

These water bottles would allow students to increase the amount of water they drink daily.
