My school is such a special place! The school has a great mix of cultures, backgrounds, academic levels and abilities. The teachers are also amazingly collaborative with peers and supportive of all students in any way that they need. I am honored to support all of our amazing teachers, and especially our 6th-8th grade Science classes as the campus Science Instructional Coach. We have the privilege of inspiring and challenging the potential of every learner each day. About 44% of our campus also receives the helpful resources to support all learning with our campus’ Title I category. Our science teachers strive to provide students with innovative and engaging lessons and labs. We get to have so many experiences that hopefully lead to a lifelong love of science for each student!
My Project
Students learn best by doing the activity and experiencing the process of growing a garden from watering seedlings to maintaining the water on a weekly basis. These water hoses and basic garden watering materials will help sustain our school garden for years to come. Students being the water suppliers and working the garden learn the life skill of how to grow plants and properly maintain the garden equipment. With 8 raised garden beds and a school full of eager gardeners, offering students the opportunity to be part of an outdoor learning space is a memory that will last a lifetime!
