Help me give my students items that will help them be successful in a hybrid model. With the help of these cleaning supplies, school supplies, and activities these students will be prepared for anything!
Hello everyone! I am a first-grade special education teacher at a Title I school in the Bronx. I have a class of 12 AMAZING boys. They are the most thoughtful, creative, loving, and kind boys. They are missing school and their peers so much. They love to read and write and most importantly DRAW, or anything artistic for that matter. They are lacking resources and I want them to have the best!
Every day we learn about the importance of helping others and being kind.
A skill they are all mastering. Let's help them get the materials they deserve! With so much uncertainty surrounding the upcoming months, I want to ensure that my students have the materials they need to be successful in a hybrid model (in school some days and home some days) or in fully remote learning.
My Project
I want to be able to create things for my students that belong to and are personal to them. With students traveling from home to school and school to home, I want them to feel safe and loved. I plan to create educational (and fun!) items for my students. These items will be theirs to keep and they will be able to bring them home as well as use them in school. This will also limit their exposure to other items if they have their own personal materials. I want our students to be extremely successful this coming year and plan to do anything to make sure that happens. This project is filled with cleaning supplies and masks to keep each child safe. Activities and projects for students to be stimulated academically and even some items to stimulate my students socially. Everything in this project will help to make our classroom safe, fun, and educational.
