Help me give my students a TV screen so that we can see students who are zooming from home. This will help students continue to make connections to their classmates and the math during remote learning.
My students are amazing! They work super hard, even when they don't have support at home. My students know that they can rise to any occasion. My goal is to get students to believe in themselves - our class motto is BE BRAVE, BE KIND, and we practice it daily.
My Project
With the TV screen, students and teachers in the classroom will be able to see their classmates that are Zooming in from home. This will help students continue to make connections to their classmates and the math during this time of remote learning. We will need some additional support material to make this happen, such as the mounted TV and hook up cables as well as student hand-held whiteboards. Additionally students need regular feedback, especially those that are learning from home. Using an Apple Pencil, I can share details on Classkick and other apps for students at home and in the classroom while maintaining social distancing.
We want to assure to the best of our ability that students continue to build a math community.
Having students be able to see one another and their work (using whiteboards that they can hold up for others to view) will help them stay connected as a math community. Even if not everything is perfect this year, if they can continue to support each other as a math community, learning will continue to happen and thrive.
