Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are gifted students that have a high achievement level and enjoying learning. They come to school eager to learn every day and love school. Most of the students are taking advance high school classes 2 years above their grade level. They work hard to achieve good grades and are always hard at work.
The students come from all economical backgrounds and the majority are on free or reduced lunch programs.
My classroom is very diverse with many different ethnic cultures, as well. The goal is to prepare the students for the rigor of advance classes in high school as well as college. Many of the students get scholarships to college for their accomplishments.
My Project
My students need laptops to use in the classroom to focus on their academic material. In this technological world, any interaction with updated technology will increase the students desire to learn and use the new technology.
Hurricane Irma limited our access to technology, however, classroom laptops will ultimately motivate, engage, and improve my students overall academic performance.
Laptops, power cords, surge protectors and USB flash drives are needed for the students. These technological tools are difficult for my students to access. Providing these tools to my students, will enhance learning, and engage students in more meaningful learning. Please support my project, and help my students improve their chances of academic success.
