My students need these shelves to replace the lost shelves due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey. These shelves will be utilized daily to hold classroom materials at a level that is easily accessible for my students.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
The students in my classroom are so happy despite the circumstances of our year. We are displaced from our school and classroom and many of my children are still displaced from their home. Over half of our community’s population was flooded or affected in some way by the hurricane, including my own home flooding. We have lost all of our classroom rugs and wooden furniture due to water damage and mold. My kindergartners deserve an awesome start as students and should have the things in their classroom they need to thrive.
My kindergarten students need these sturdy shelves to replace some of the shelves we lost in our classroom due to flooding and mold from Hurricane Harvey. My students will utilize these shelves daily to access classroom materials at their level. They will be placed in easily accessible spaces of the classroom and hold items that they need to grow academically and socially through literacy stations and dramatic play centers. This will allow several students to gather together and help each other and they discover new skills and develop social skills that they will carry with them throughout their school career.
