Hurricane Harvey Recovery of Small Group Instruction
My students need supplies for small group instruction. We need a mini projector, storage display rack, office chair, storage craits, laminator, and lamp. Hurricane Harvey destroyed everything in our classroom, these items will help instructional needs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is located in Texas. Most of the community was severally damaged by hurricane Harvey. Our school is one of nineschools that will be moved to different locations. Our school sustained so much damage that everything was lost inside my classroom. I am a first teacher and put everything I had to make my room the best I could for my students. Harvey took it all, but my strength to rebuild could not be taken away.
My students are special because they are resilient; Harvey has destroyed their homes, but I want to make school their haven.
No matter what is going on at home, or what Hurricane Harvey has done, we know that together we will rebuild, and that together we will be successful.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students learning because it will allow me to provide small group instruction. The easel and chair will help me show materials to the students during small group as well as read alouds and mini lessons. The laminator will help reuse supplies at work stations. The shelves will house my guided reading materials during small group. Lastly, the projector is a smaller and less expensive option to show items off my lap top and the students iPads.
My classroom lost everything in Hurricane Harvey, these everyday materials will help me in my first year of teaching.
My students deserve the best, and starting from scratch in my classroom will not stop me from providing for my students.
