Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Help our track athletes broaden their horizons and try out new events in our sport! We currently have no hurdles and would like add this event to our students expertise!

Most of the students in our school come from low-income families and are on free or reduced lunch.

They attend a selective enrollment high school that is growing but due to low student numbers has limited funding. Since its a new school old supplies are not present so we need new equipment.

My Project

We are requesting donations for training hurdles to properly teach our athletes the event. The training hurdles can be adjusted to meet the requirements for the different hurdle events for boy and girls! Students will not only learn the event but they will be able to compete in the event on a city level.

Your donation will assist our students in learning the skill of hurdling.

Last year we have no hurdlers because of lack of equipment. Our students can benefit from this because they will have the opportunity to compete and strive to their personal goals. This can help raise their self esteem and give them opportunities for athletic scholarships.
