My students smile every morning and are happy to be in a safe and respectful environment to learn. I give 110% to my teaching, and I want every student to do the same as we learn together in so many exciting ways.
I teach thirty-six poverty-stricken students who are excited to come to school every day to learn.
As a second grade teacher, I want my students to have the tools to become awesome lifelong learners that can apply their knowledge to everyday life.
My students prove every day that they are eager to explore new ideas through both our curriculum and the outside world. They also love to learn new concepts that are not only new math skills or books read. The students are excited to learn from STEM items that are hands-on materials that allow the students to actively learn in many ways.
My Project
Some of my students come to school hungry from not having food at their house. I buy many snacks out of my own money and would like some help providing snacks for these awesome students. I would love to give them KIND granola bars, Planter's Nuts and Trail Mix, Chex Mix, fruit snacks, Grandma's Cookies, and Annie's Bunny Snacks during the school day and to take home at night.
Learning can be hard for some students especially when your stomach is growling from not enough food.
My students are eager to learn, but find it very difficult to learn on an empty stomach. I would appreciate the opportunity to give the students a snack when needed.
