Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Unfortunately, my students sometimes see the total opposite when they leave the classroom and re-enter the world. Many of my students deal with unfortunate circumstances of life when they are away from school. Most of my students were either born in another country or have parents that are from another native country. Because of this broad range of differences, I always strive to make their classroom a place of peace, love, and escape, where they can learn, play, AND be their self no matter what! In our Title I School, we encourage our students to be their BEST and to never let life's circumstances determine who they are or who they can be.
I am in need of a snacks & food for my students to use throughout the school day for various times.
It is common for our students to get 2 meals a day, one our free breakfast and the second our free/reduced lunch. Over 80% of our students receive free lunch.
I would like to be able to provide a Snack Bar with various snacks that my students may obtain when hungry.
My Project
Our project is to feed our students by providing access to good nutritional food all day long. Students from lower socioeconomic areas don't have the access for healthy food. In our classroom, we are creating a snack bar for our classroom and for home. Many of our students deal with unfortunate circumstances, including the inability to nutritious food. These snacks will allow our students the ability to eat when they are hungry and to take home snacks when they may have none. Please help me provide this simple NEED for all our students in grades 4 & 5. It will go a long way to help their brain, body, and soul.
