Help me give my students have snacks during the school day and to take home with them if the cupboards are bare. I am requesting granola bars, crackers, flavored waters, and other favorites to use as rewards.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are from the inner city in Kansas City, KS. Our school is an alternative high school for students who have not been successful in traditional school settings.
One hundred percent of our students receive free lunch and most have very challenging situations at home.
Most of our students have experienced trauma in their lives including being homeless, extremely poverty-stricken, and battling emotional issues. Many have parents who are incarcerated or have been murdered.
Our teachers help with many of the student's basic needs, using there own money and resources.
My Project
I have a snack cabinet that the students can visit when they have reached their academic goals for the day and to take home if they need to.
Tasty and nutritious snacks such as chewy granola bars, Cheez-It crackers and Capri Suns serve as ecouragment.
School is a safe and welcoming environment for these students.
Healthy and tasty snacks serve as encouragement and as a reward for these very deserving students. Hunger among our students is a problem many face everyday. These items will help fill up our snack cabinet for the next few months. Our entire school apprecicate your kindness.
