My Project

Our school is full of wonderful students from low-income homes. Healthy snacking is not a way of life for these kids. It is my goal to introduce healthy options to students during the school day.

This will be a way to incorporate healthy habit conversations and give students something to hold them until the next meal.

Fruit rolls that are not full of added sugar, chip options that are fiber-filled, breath mints without aspartame, and beef jerky sticks will fill tummies and freshen breath. Electrolyte drink mixes will help our athletic students avoid dehydration and cramps.

Hungry students cannot learn. Snacks will be available daily in the classroom for students to freely grab and enjoy.
