I strive to foster independence in my students, which allows them to have a sense of pride and feelings of accomplishment. This encourages problem-solving when my students will be faced with challenges in the future.
I teach in a classroom where half of the day instruction is in English, and half of the day instruction is in Spanish.
I have both native Spanish and native English speakers in my class, as well as students who speak many other languages at home. In our class, my students are becoming readers and writers in both Spanish and English! Our diverse students love to learn!
My Project
Students learn better when they are not hungry. I have some students who ask me every day for food to bring home. These items like rice and beans, cereal, macaroni and baking mix will help my students stay full at home.
I will send the food home with kids who need it.
The snacks and meals will ensure that tummies are full before leaving for home or school. These snacks have been selected because they are high in energy, and low in added sugars. Thank you for keeping helping our students be able to focus on their learning, and not their hunger!
