Hula Hooping the Beginners of Winners

Help me give my students a set (24) of hula hoops to engage in variety of adapted physical activities.

My Students

As an adapted PE teacher, I focus on bridging the gap in PE and physical pursuits to students with a variety of intellectual, physical, and sensory impairments in Santa Clara District. Every student has their unique needs and every positive achievement they make, big or little, creates a difference in their life!

My Project

Hula hoops have many purpose in building success in a child's development. For a young basketball player with a physical impairment, the hula hoop can be the aim of success in shooting. For a kiddo with a cognitive impairment, the hula hoops are a simple way to provide visuals as targets and direction. For a gymnast with visual impairment, it can a simple tool to help them get moving and wiggling. I believe every Winner, once a Beginner. And with your support, I can give them a positive start in adapted physical activities and a physical pursuit.
