My Students

Can you imagine writing an essay, poem or designing a colorful chart and being able to print it for display in your school? Having access to a classroom printer would provide a variety of choice to create a print rich project. Students would exhibit and cherish their creations for years to come

Our 4th graders attend a Title 1 school in Tennessee.

Most of the students in my class do not have access to computers and printers at home. They love creative writing and designing graphic displays for their six weeks projects. Our classroom has computers to allow for their creative ideas to flow on the screen. Unfortunately, they have to copy their projects by hand. I believe our children need to be prepared for a fast-paced, progressive technological society. What a profound experience to be able to produce quality work with a self-designed printed professional touch!

My Project

We desperately need a multipurpose color printer in our classroom to be used specifically by the children. Students are accustomed to vibrant colors and printed work in their daily lives. Visualize a child's excitement to see their own research and planning being printed with a detailed polished finish? Students can print their own stories, ideas, graphic designs and many other creative projects.

Printing out a finished project would increase their desire to begin the next Language Arts, Math or Science project with a strong sense of pride and academic achievement!

Students are surrounded in technology and learn from hands-on application. A printer encourages students to apply what they learned and save it for presentation. This project promotes an inviting challenge to all learners in my classroom which can be used in all subject content.
