Pay it forward! That’s what teaching is all about. Greetings! I’m a second grade teacher working in Brooklyn N.Y. We are located in a low-income area, where 98% of the children receive free lunch. I have a wonderful group of students who come to school each day eager to learn.

With budget cuts to our school, this year has been a little difficult. My school now has more students per class and fewer supplies. The increase also affects how much time students are able to use the computers. With only one computer, it is very difficult for students to get adequate time using it. Our class has only one working computer, and many of my students don’t have a computer at home.

With the increase of educational materials being linked to technology, it’s important that I have the materials needed to keep my students up to speed with both educational and technological advances. Having the HP Compaq 610 laptop and the HP DeskJet all in one printer, my students will have the opportunity to work on the skills they need the most help in. Both these items will also give my students the opportunity to experience technology in the classroom, and have access to resources that will increase their potential for learning.

Please help us bring technology into the classroom. Your donations will make it possible for us to get the practice we need and keep us up to date with technology. Thank you in advance for considering my proposal.
