My Students

I have a diverse group of 25 7th grade students who come from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic statuses. My students are very energetic and they love a good challenge. My 7th graders are loving, caring and arrive to school each day excited about learning!

In our math class I believe in creating an environment where every student can learn, grow and reach their highest potential.

Our classroom is moving towards a blended learning environment that will help our exceptional children begin to master and meet grade level expectations. I want all of my students to know that they can gain a better understanding of math by incorporating manipulatives, movement, collaborative learning, small groups and peer learning buddies. With the blended learning approach I will incorporate the different learning styles of my students which will help them grow and feel successful.

My Project

Imagine entering my current classroom where students are all in chairs, desk and tables. Currently they are craving the need for more movement and choices in their seating options. Big Joe Aloha Chairs will give my 7th Graders the flexibility they will need to begin our blended learning classroom.

Having the Big Joe Chairs will allow my students to have more autonomy, engagement and time on task as they work on mastering 7th grade math topics.

My students will be excited to begin working on their daily class assignments because they will have more choice as far as seating options.
