This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our classroom is a safe and encouraging place for 17 three to five years olds. Parents and teachers work together, despite many hardships to offer these children the very best education and support system.
Our children come to school every day excited for what the day might hold.
Every day is new and they give it their all. We encourage students learning by fueling their interests using the project approach method. The children learn what questions they have and how to ask. We find local experts and bring as much knowledge to our children as we can find.
My Project
This project will allow my students to fully embrace music and movement. Music is an amazing way to improve language skills and social skills in children. Having a music center would improve the student's confidence levels and encourage them to try new things.
Music helps regulate emotions and would be a wonderful tool for the students who need a helping hand with self regulation.
Music also helps with self regulation by teaching the students to slow down and process the music itself or the dancing/movement involved. The students would then use those learned skills in all other areas of the classroom making them more successful.
