Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are eager third graders that come to my class excited and eager to learn. They come in with a smile and are never afraid to try new things.
I love my students very much and am always trying to get the best for them.
My students deserve the best, and they deserve to be engaged as much as possible. My classroom is the best, and we are always trying to go above and beyond when it comes to learning.
My Project
My students need a class set of books titled, How to Be Cool In the Third Grade. This would be an awesome chapter book to read with the entire classroom at the beginning of the school year. My students will take turns reading the books and then have to answer comprehension questions.
The project also consists of other books that will be integrated with social studies.
Ruby Bridges Goes to School and David Goes to School will be read aloud read by me to the entire class and have discussions.
Last year, we started the school late, and many of our students were impacted because of Hurricane Harvey. I really want to start the year fresh and keep them engaged to the max.
