Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are so excited to learn they sometimes jump out of their seats. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

With the challenges they face, I work very hard to keep learning a priority for them.

As soon as they arrive in my classroom we are working our hardest. I work to make sure their learning experience is as rich as I can possibly make it for them by having the tools they need to be successful.

4th grade students work very hard for their math grades. One of our topics we cover is the measuring of angles. This can be a hard task without protractors.

My Project

These protractors are common tools that we need for 4th grade math learning. We have been sharing one set amongst 4 classes. To be able to have them at our fingertips would allow students to use this tool more freely and apply the knowledge to other learning.

We will have the protractors in the classroom and we will be able to use them for not only math but also when we are working on angles at other times in the day.

We will be able to use them at different times of the day for more practice to get better.
