My students need ten dictionaries.

What does this word mean? I teach a self contained regular education 4th grade class. This means that I teach all subjects to my students.

My students are always trying to read chapter books and other challenging materials. I hear the phrase "What does this word mean" at least ten times a day. We also use dictionaries to check the spelling during writing. My students really want the satisfaction of discovering the correct spelling of a word but are unable to use some of the dictionaries due to them being outdated or too challenging.

I need 10 dictionaries to assist my students in finding the meaning and definitions an unfamiliar words during reading. They would also be used during writing to assist with revising and editing.

Your help will open up a world a new vocabulary words to my students. They will gain a better understanding of the characters and comprehend what they are reading because they will be able to understand the words. Your donation will also expand their writing. Their writing will improve because of their ability to use correct spelling and use more vivid vocabulary words.
