My Students

I teach students in an incredibly diverse high school. We have students who are long-term residents and students who are brand new to our country. Hands-on, practical learning is the perfect way to reach such a diverse group.

Sometimes my students feel overwhelmed with the amount of learning they need to do.

Having manipulatives and a well-defined project helps them regain control in their lives.

My Project

My students have lost time in the classroom due to COVID-19. They have missed out on the opportunity to use their hands and their brains together to solve problems. Electronics is all about putting those two things together. When students collaborate, problem solve and think creatively in groups with a specific project in mind, it gives them a reason to show up to school every day. The requested Snap Circuits and Snapino kits will enhance their electronics learning.

Hands-on learning can lead to more knowledge retention, it's engaging, it's creative and it helps simulate real-world problems.

When students learn that they can tackle these kinds of problems and solve them, it helps boost their self-esteem. They learn that they can accomplish their goals.
