This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students are in a low income, urban neighborhood. They don't have a lot of resources, but they are eager to please and to learn.

These students are highly motivated and successful when given the proper resources.

The teachers are highly motivated and love what they do. The students are challenged and excited to raise to achieve their goals. I want to do all I can to help these babies be happy and successful! They want to achieve and reach their goals. Please help me give them what they deserve. I want these students to know that their zip code does not define them!

My Project

My students have gained a considerable amount of literacy skills, but they continue to need help with math. Our district has manipulatives, but we lack the resources that will help us to see and do what we need to gain the knowledge that we need to excel in math.

We need math skills to make us even more successful than we already are!

We used the program Letters alive to successfully learn our letters, sounds, and sight words. With the fun and success that we got with this program, we would love to have the math program as well. The sky is the limit when we can make math fun!
