My Project

I teach an amazing group of middle schoolers. I teach a diverse group of learners with a variety of needs (inclusion, English language learners, etc.) Over 80% students come from families who live below the poverty line and because of this all students receive free breakfast and lunch at the school. For some of them this is all the food they get in a day. Each class is 60 minutes long and I want to give my students the experiences and opportunities they deserve. I also want to make sure they have the tools and resources they need to be successful.

A snack can make a huge difference on how a student's day will go.

By having snacks available for students, they can focus less on their growling bellies and more on the skills and concepts that are taught in the classroom.
