How Can We Manage High School Without Technology?

My students need tablets to access technology using Google Drive and Amazon Kindle to read books from the library. With 36 students I only have access toa desktop and one iPad.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My students deserve the best education possible and they need the resources to make it happen.

My students are excited for the possibility of getting additional technology in our classroom. They want to be as successful as possible during their high school years along with being ready for College and Career Ready.

My Project

Every day, I do my best to prepare my students for the ever-changing world that is ahead of them. In particular, getting technology in their hands. Unfortunately, due to many financial restrictions in our school and district, we do not have extra funds beyond the basics.

By bringing two Kindle Fires and case into my classroom, my students will have the opportunity to be exposed to current and useful technology.

The Kindle Fires would be used for research, projects and reading/writing intervention, just to name a few. This essential tool is so vital to our students and would make a difference in their preparation for the future.
