Learning to read is tough enough without being BORING! Help make learning fun for my struggling readers! These Hot Dots Jr. reading tools will makes learning fun and interactive for my primary reading students.
I work in a small school in West Virginia.
Most of my students come from low income families. I work as a reading teacher and work with students in small groups. My students all struggle with reading. They struggle with the most basic foundations and concepts up to comprehension. It is important to give help as early as possible to ensure these students become better readers.
My Project
My students need a set of Hot Dogs and AAA batteries for an interactive and fun way to learn basic reading skills. Learning the foundation skills (letters, sounds, segmenting) in reading is one the most important, and for some students the most difficult, parts of grades K-2. This set will help students work at their own pace to gain and practice these skills. I work in small groups so having something that can be self directed but observable is so important not just to the students but for me to be able see their progress.
These materials will help inspire and engage my students to make extra reading work fun!
