Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are extraordinary learners. They have great individual strengths. They're funny, curious, and smart! Unfortunately, they are extraordinarily challenged by their individual disabilities. Although their disabilities has made it difficult for them to meet grade level literacy skills for Common Core Standards. My students continues to persevere each day to improve in their academics.
Financial Literacy is our overall goal for each and every child.
My students need to be successful in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and math skills. Most of my students listening, speaking, reading, writing, and math skills are far below basic. Many of my students come from single parent homes and qualify for our free lunch program. All of my students have special needs. My students with various disabilities (Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Other Health Impaired) are literacy challenged.
Therefore, my students need the opportunity to access their academic potential. If my students had Financial Literacy materials in my classroom they would be able to build their financial literacy success daily.
My Project
My students will be able to use the Hot Dots Pens, Hot Dots Multiplication, Hot Dots Word Problems for grades 1-3 and 4-6, Hot Dots Academic Vocabulary for grades 1-3 and 4-6, Hot Dots Reading Comprehension, pencils, Elmer's glue sticks, and Copy paper to improve their individual educational gaps. My students will use the Hot Dots Pens, Hot Dots Multiplication, Hot Dots Word Problems for grades 1-3 and 4-6, Hot Dots Academic Vocabulary for grades 1-3 and 4-6, Hot Dots Reading Comprehension, pencils, Elmer's glue sticks, and Copy paper to complete paired learning activities, individual assignments, and individual work stations to meet their learning needs.
My student will be able to use their critical thinking skills by asking and answering questions, do study prep activities and making connections through their learning.
