My kindergarten class resides in central Indiana public school.
They have a zeal for life and always seem to be on the go. They love anything set to music or presented in a game format. We love to dance and sing to remember key concepts and strategies. As a first time educator, I can honestly say that everything I learned about kindergarten I learned from my students!
My Project
My kindergarten students are excited to learn to read! As a kinesthetic and visually minded class, they tend to learn best when involved in interactive activities. I have a drastic range of ability levels within my classroom. To appeal to all students' needs, the Hot Dots system allows me to customize independent learning to each student's needs. This system also allows for students to know if their thinking was correct. The best part is they don't even know they are learning!
These activities will keep my students not only engaged, but learning!
The most impactful portion of this system are the activities that create a strong foundation in phonics...the greatest building block for reading!
