Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Kindergarten is the springboard into a student's education. My students are special because, for many, this is their first educational setting. Every child deserves the best education that is available to them.
I teach in a high poverty school in Pennsylvania, with a high percentage of students coming from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
Imagine being a new student, in a new environment, separated from your family for the first time, this is the reality for most of the students in my classroom. I want their first educational experience to be extraordinary!
My Project
Imagine being a new student, in a new setting, away from your family for the first time. Kindergarten is an amazing springboard into a students' educational career, but it can also be very overwhelming to many students. I want to be able to provide a positive learning environment for my students. Having a variety of Hot Dots will allow students to be able to work at their own educational pace.
Hot Dots allow students to work at their own pace, increase their academic growth, and allow students to increase their reading and math levels.
It is extremely important for students to feel comfortable in the classroom, be able to use basic technology and to help reinforce self-confidence. Hot Dots will allow my students to grow academically from a pre-k level and beyond with the various levels.
