I am a kindergarten teacher with students from a low-income transient population. In this area, students live in motels in addition to regular type housing.
For many, the experiences they get at school are the only experiences they get with hands-on active learning.
My students range from those who have been exposed to books, letters, numbers, etc. to the majority who come to school with no exposure prior to school.
It is my goal to provide them with a loving, literacy-rich, inviting classroom optimal for them to learn and love!
My Project
These supplies will help my students by using hands on items and activities to learn about letters, science, and the world around them. The Stem Science Stations as well as the other science materials will enable to students to collaborate together to problem solve and learn by engaging in activities. The Learning Letters Activity Centers set and the mystery box will enable them to learn the letters in multiple ways.
