My Students

My 4th grade mathematicians are exceptional because we attack problems with the reality of failure. We know that experts aren't made on initial attempts and that success is the result of the last attempt. We know that learning is the process and not the product. We continually support each other and treat each other as family.

Because of this, I am superbly proud of my rural Title I school.

As a staff, we are here to encourage and support each other along the journey of learning, realizing that adults are learners too. We shift our mindsets to focus our students'. We find success through embracing failure and rising to high expectations.

My Project

How will I grow from this conference? Just listen to these session objectives! I will learn my "why" for engaging students in creativity, how to incorporate Emojis, movement, and motion in math instruction, how to utilize student-friendly tech tools, rigorous learning games, and ways to get students to debate with critical-thinking.

But wait, there's more professional growth in day 2, and I cannot wait!

Additionally, I will learn 10 ways to ensure student success, and to bring curriculum to life, and close reading and Writer's Workshops techniques, as well as ways I can increase engagement, build culture, and raise achievement.
