My students are a fun group of first graders, ages six and seven, at a Title I school in Phoenix, Arizona. Many of my little first graders come from hard-working parents who struggle financially month to month.
The students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day!
My goal is to enrich my students' learning each day by providing resources and tools that best meet their academic needs.
The holidays are right around the corner and I am requesting books as a gift for my students. The winter break is the perfect time for students to build their fluency, excitement, and enjoyment for reading!
My students are working hard daily at becoming fantastic first grade readers and to increase their abilities in a subject they love!
The students will be so excited to have the opportunity to take a book home and practice their reading. If each student were given a book, it would make a memorable impact on their holiday season!
The students would cherish the book and love reading it to their families. It would be a gift that they would never forget! We will also be completing writing and art projects that go along with these stories to bring the books to life and meet our state standards.
With your donation and generosity, the students will have a wonderful winter story to take home and call their own this holiday season!
