Our school is a very large public school in rural Tennessee. We are the only elementary school in our county. We have just under 1,000 students in Pre-K to 4th grade. Many of our students are low income and receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our school consist of 150 third graders who are full of energy and craving knowledge about the world around them. They love to actively explore the environments around them and engage in various activities to learn new subjects.
My students desperately need new headphones for our computers and listening centers. When I am conducting small groups at my teacher table, students rotate through the computer center to do interactive learning activities. All of our classroom headphones are broken, and we do not have money to buy new ones. My students greatly benefit from the computer-aided programs and it is so enjoyable for them. Many of my students do not have computers at home and can only access these programs from school, however without headphones these programs are virtually worthless. Please help ensure that the learning continues for these amazing kids.
