These are unprecedented times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, the school year is not over yet. My students are spread over our rural areas in and around Kulm. Most of them have not seen each other and depend on their parents to tell them what is going on with friends. I have chosen to do paper packets since I have some students that don’t have support at home to help them get online. These are scary times for my students for sure.
These are some games that we play at school and games that build some good critical thinking skills. Since we missed the end of our school year, I feel like we lost some fun times and I really want the kids to be able to enjoy these games with their families. Kids need to be able to experience family time, not just doing homework, but also by learning to work together to build a puzzle and playing a good game of UNO. The students will learn great strategies when playing Connect 4 and Sorry. These are all great things they can do as a family. Please help me gift these to my students.
