This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
With 700 students coming to physical education each week our equipment really gets a workout. We are using playground balls to try to get through the semester but bouncing those eggs makes learning ball skills difficult. The younger students k-2 have a really hard time controlling the ball.
My students range from K through the 8th grade including special education and hearing impaired students.
At DE/MS in Michigan, our students are eager learners who enjoy physical education, and a variety of different sports, but especially basketball.
My Project
We are requesting new basketballs to help our students accomplish our physical education goals for the 2011-2012 school year. We have limited resources to purchase equipment and frequently have to share the small amount that we have. A donation from donors choose would allow each student to have their own ball in class and help them learn to dribble.
A donation from donors choose will make a huge difference in our students ability to learn in physical education classes.
Eggs are okay for eating but playing basketball with them is difficult at best.
