My students need a way to review math during small groups rotations and what's better than Hot Dot programs with Hot Dot pens to increase their mastery of math concepts!
My students are the most loving, witty, hard-working students who deserve every opportunity to excel. Due to the lower SES there are a lack of resources available to my students as our school does not receive the Title 1 funds that the surrounding elementary schools do. My hope is to provide these students with all the opportunities they deserve.
Through a combination of creation, technology integration, and a classroom culture where making mistakes is celebrated, my students will not just learn for learning sake, but learn for the pure love and joy of learning.
My Project
Our results from the various math assessments have shown that students need a constant review of math topics throughout the year to achieve mastery.
My students work hard and need these additional tools to aid in their success.
The Hot Dots programs and Hot Dots pens will help students with their math mastery; the tools will allow students multiple opportunities to practice key concepts in shorter periods of time. Not only this, students will be able to continue the constant review of the math topics throughout the year. This simple review of the basic math concepts that Hot Dots provide will help my students retain the knowledge needed to be successful. Through constant practice, my students will be confident in themselves through all the hard-work and dedication they have put forth using Hot Dots.
My students want to do well and with this project it will provide them with more opportunities to learn, help them stay motivated, and continue to work hard!
