Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work in a disadvantaged community school. Many of my students live below the poverty level and have little experiences with the world around them. Nevertheless, they are very excited about learning and are captivated by new information.
My students are curios, inquisitive, loving, kind, and respectful.
They enjoy learning and love being read to. Unfortunately, my students are struggling readers. It is my job to get them hooked on reading. In order to do this, I must have a classroom library that is organized and appealing to my students. Also the books available need to be interesting to my students.
My Project

These book series will open my students minds and allow my them to get lost in the world of fiction literature.
I can not wait to introduce all the interesting series purchased and get my students hooked on reading.
My students will benefit from reading books in a series to increase their comprehension ability and acquire new vocabulary. As an educator I firmly believe and research shows that the more students read the better readers they become. This is what I hope to accomplish with all my students.
