Help me give my students the experience of dissecting owl pellets. Every year the 4th grade students dissect owl pellets and learn so much about owls, fun chain, and food web. This year, it will be done virtually!
My classroom of 32 students are learning from google classroom. Most of the students are using a chromebook they borrowed from the school. The kids are sad because they are at home where many of their parents are working and they are taking care of siblings and helping with chores. They miss their friends and teachers! It is hard for many to learn on a chromebook.
Every year students dissect owl pellets in the classroom. They look forward to this every year. Due to the pandemic, this is not possible! If every student could dissect their own owl pellet at home, with virtual direction from the teacher, they would not be so disappointed about yet another learning project they are missing! The students will have the skeleton from the owl pellet to remember how and what they did during the pandemic.
The students would do a a dissection with their own owl pellet while following along with the teacher on google classroom.
The students will have this special learning experience while learning from home.
