More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
$0 still needed
My students need headsets, jack splitters, and hooks for our computer lab. We also need an Apple TV to project the iPad onto the screen.
Our computer lab sees about 500 students in a school year, but it is currently incomplete.
Our middle school serves 7th and 8th graders.
Our school has 1 computer lab that consists of 30 Dell computers, 4 Mac desktops, and 4 MacBook Pros. Students work on the Macs in pairs to create videos through Final Cut. The computer lab also has an iPad designated for this classroom.
Our students will use the requested materials when they are in the computer lab. They will be able to hear teacher instruction, watch educational videos, listen to projects they have created, etc. The hooks will provide storage for the headphones to help decrease wear and tear. The splitters will be used so students can work on their projects in pairs. Through Apple TV students will also be able to project work that has been completed on the iPad.
In my first project, "I Can't Hear You" we received enough headphones for the 30 Dell computers.
For this project, I would like to provide enough headphones for the Macs desktops. I would also like students to be able to share their work on the iPad through Apple TV.
